AN ODE TO OMONDI
It's the 14th night of the seventh moon, Midnight strikes, the silent hums, Thunder growls across the sky, A signal of the weeping clouds, Heaven roars and bursts open, In praise of the mighty rock _Omondi, Rooted deeply at the center of Owiro's home, Each drop, recalling his mighty name, Wind bows low, trees bend still, All in honor of Omondi's will, The night lies breathless, hushed, Listening to the song of the rain, Echoing the wisdom Omondi hides, Soil beneath it trembles, With each drop of his praise, A guiding light through darkest storms, Omondi stands _ strong and brave, Within our veins, his blood flows, Boiling hot where courage grows, A reminder that, he walks with us, Through darkness and light, Following his footsteps, We find our way, Out of the thickest forests, Into the brightest future, In his guidance, we find solace, A rock of comfort, love and care, A pillar strong, just and wise, Building tomorrow from yesterday's stones, Omondi _ father, fierce and fair, Forever we carry your name with care,
