An Eulogy Of Flowers
Roses are red, violets are blue, In this sonnet, I'll paint a grand view, With words that dance, like petals in flight, To capture love's essence, so pure and bright. Behold, a canvas vast, where passions bloom, Where love's sweet fragrance fills every room, In stately verse, this ode I'll now compose, To celebrate the love that forever grows. Roses, crimson-hued, like hearts that ignite, Blossom in gardens, kissed by golden light, Their velvety petals, like love's embrace, Softly whisper secrets, in tender grace. Violets, dressed in hues of royal blue, Symbolize love that is steadfast and true, Their delicate beauty, a gentle prize, Reflecting the depth, seen in lover's eyes. Together they intertwine, a sweet refrain, A symphony of colors, love's eternal chain, In nature's grand design, they find their home, Like love's foundation, they're firmly sown. So let this sonnet, with its grand design, Enchant your heart and make your spirit shine, For love, like roses and violets, so rare, Is a masterpiece, beyond compare. ~k.sibisi~
