An End and a New Beginning
At my old table, where memories reside, It gave me everything, a life to guide. Today I returned, after so many days, But it felt like the first, in a strange new place. Faces I saw, many passed by, Yet the one I sought, nowhere did lie. After so long, an exam I wrote, But once it was done, through the campus I strode. With music in the air and joy in my heart, We wandered the paths, though worlds apart. It felt like I’d landed in a foreign land, Where birds soared high, and beasts did stand. People cursing, as I walked down the street, Old friends passed, but our eyes didn't meet. I wondered now when these days will end, And when this chapter will finally bend. When will joy return, and my life restart? When will I leave this place, this part? I dreamt of ending these college years with glee, But time had other plans, it seems, for me. Now I wait for this chapter to close, For a new life to start, where hope still flows. The end of college, the start of a dream, A life unknown, a fresh new gleam.
