AM I STILL HER?
Everything happens so fast, Once upon a time I was in nursery school, Then to primary, Then the world left its mark on me, I was influenced, Englightened, But not on the good part of life. They say you only live once, Who says I want to live, Maybe I do, but sometimes I drift away, What's there in the world, I was once as innocent as an unbloomed tulip, I thought the world was a nice place, Little did I know, it's a narcissistic bitch, I once thought I was a perfect little girl, Now I can't stare into the mirror without noticing my imperfections, My head is filled with thoughts, mostly regrets, I'm expected to be the best in school and I can't lose my crown, Like a queen I carry the image of perfection, But one day it will all crumble, When the crown is too heavy, The queen will be eaten alive by her own, Just like how maybe some day I'll be engulfed by my insecurities. An image of imperfection reflects, Thick thighs, stretch marks, rolls, Like an uncooked piece of bread. Sometimes you need to stop looking at the world through rose coloured glasses, I broke those glasses a long time ago, Now I see in black, Not even white, I miss me. Sometimes I think about people, And what they think about me.
