am I asleep?
Am I living life asleep, can anyone hear my weep, In shadows of slumber, where dreams silently creep. The world spins around me, yet I feel out of reach, Lost in a haze, where the heart cannot breach. Colors muted, sounds distant, a numbness descends, Is this existence or merely a dream that never ends? Emotions restrained, a whispered sigh in the night, Yearning for clarity, for the dawn's gentle light. Awaken me from this slumber, break the chains that bind, Let me dance with the stars, with a free spirit entwined. For life is but a fleeting dream, a symphony in the mist, I long to feel alive, to exist in every twist. So heed my call, oh universe, lift me from this trance, Let my soul soar, let my heart beat and dance. Awake me from this slumber, let passion run deep, For I am not truly living, if living life asleep.
