Always the opposite
Why do I attract the opposite kind? The cruel, the cold, the twisted mind. Never the gentle, never the true, Only the ones who bruise me blue. Always the wrong, and never the right, Drawn to the dark, avoiding the light. Men with chaos in their touch, Why do I crave what hurts so much? Toxic hearts over healing grace, I chase the storm, ignore the face Of love that’s calm, love that stays — What’s wrong with me? I lose my way. Maybe I'm wired for pain, not peace, Choosing the poison over release. But still I ask, in silent plea: Why can’t the good be drawn to me?
