Always Stuck in Between
I'm always stuck in between In between loves and hates In between nerdiness and dates In between games of adults and Teens It was my only crime I was neither there in time Nor Did I have the dear dime And she claimed my lips tasted lime Always stuck in between do's and don'ts Stuck in between repairs and dents I never had a favourite color But she was my spectrum's parlor Though at times made me her parkour Always stuck between jumps and fronts I am always between moods Today we open tomorrow under hoods Dark hoods harbouring mixed personalities Stuck between being young and having responsibilities Always stuck between a choice and an option Always stuck between staying with you and motion Stuck between our farewells and forevers In between hope and endeavours Betweens emotional drains and shifts Between patience and thrifts Stuck between dreams and a scream Stuck between grabbing the root or drowning downstream © déjà vû poetry
