Alters in darkness
Alter in darkness..... Standing behind the hedges, Overlook the rusted railway tracks.... Abandoned after the war.... Standing behind the hedges, He always wish to see a train , Passing through the darkness...... May be a train, Or, something like it, Passing , dissecting the darkness..... Standing behind the hedges, He overlook the rusted tracks for a train One day ,a train will come..... With a little sun infront of the engine And frills or tails of lights in compartments..... The village prostitude and a leaper with falling fingers kept an opinion in mind No train will come Because once we travelled with dreams of an optimistic spring, Sabotaged , rusted pieces Still as a leapers wounds And a prostitudes lost virgin skin... Once,he saw lights and sounds of whistles far away. ... Later,he heard gunshots and cries faraway, Comming like waves near to him.... Standing behind the hedges, He saw ... Alters of new and old, Floating through the rails.... At a time of smokey lights...... The hedges got fire It hides the being behind..... Eagles and man-eaters following alters In despair cried, Where was the prey.... Running helplessly for breathes Before end ..... (C) Ravindranath kunnath Kochi,
