already dead
it was dark and foggy and I couldn't see, past the head lights coming at me. as the car past by it slowed to a stop, brakes lights came on it looked like a cop. but from the passenger side out stepped a man, he was shooting at me so I broke and ran. the pain was unbearable I'd been shot from behind a red hot bullet had destroyed my spine. the darkness replaced by red and blue lights, help was coming I'd be all right. as the pain left my body I got to my feet, walked across the sidewalk and into the street. as I was leaving I looked back around, I saw myself laying there still on the ground. then it hit me like a ton of lead, I'm not gonna make it I'm already dead.
