Alove beyond the sky
The Sun and Moon, rulers of day and night, Were tired from being kept apart. Against the laws, their love took flight, For they could not deny their hearts. The Sun slipped away to meet his love And in the night, they became one. Their love was pure, like that of a dove, And from it, the stars were spun. The Moon kept the children close, For in the darkness, she was alone. But with the stars, she never froze, For they lit up her home. Twice a year, the Sun would sneak To see his love and their progeny. The Moon and Stars, so mild and meek, Were a family as perfect as can be. Forbidden love, they say, is the sweetest kind, For it defies the rules of Earth and Sky. The Sun and Moon, their love entwined, Shall forever be a symbol to rely.
