Alone
They say we are born alone and die the same, Once our time has come our flesh turns back to dust, After death comes we leave everything, money, fame, Nothing will truly satisfy the soul, even treasure and sinful lust, Us christians we are to be set apart, Yet why do i wish to fit in, Like a color desiring to be in a master art, Being different was a lost rather than a win, I'm afraid to be left out in darknes's company, To be hated by some with a lable "freak", I'm a tune wishing to a part of a melody, A warrior desiring to fight and not be weak, A word in a poem, to not be left alone, Like birds flying together in beautiful harmony, A statue carved accurately from a stone, Truth be told i fear to feel the embrace of the lonely, But slowly i realized I'm not alone, A merciful kind god is with me, I wish to serve him and bow as he sit on the throne, For only him can set me from my sins, free, Oh i do enjoy to be accompanied by friends, However the smallest act of being left out, Can make one so overwhelmed to the ends, Worse than the time of drought, So here am i practicing and getting used, To the silence of the wind's whisper, Getting attached gives too many bruises, So I'll rather be with god where it's
