I pen these words for you alone, To share the feelings I have known, A truth within my heart has grown, A love that's real, completely shown. No other soul has stirred this way, My thoughts of you throughout the day, This genuine emotion's sway, Surpassing what my mind could say. Imagination once took flight, But you revealed love's true delight, You brought the meaning, clear and bright, Of how true love should feel so right. Each tiny thing that makes you you, Made recognizing what was true, That I was falling, through and through, With every moment that I knew. An energy now fills my soul, For you're the one who makes me whole, Your care and support are my goal, They mean the world and take their toll. I need a chance to prove my worth, To show what love can bring to earth, You won't regret that day of mirth, When "hey" replied gave love its birth. So let me love you, pure and true, With all the heart I have for you, This feeling's real, it's not just new, It's deep and lasting, through and through. Allow me this, my love, I plead, To plant this tender, caring seed, To follow where this path may lead, And fill your every want and need.
