All These Days
All these days, I’ve masked the ache inside, Kept calm as every thought began to fray. I told myself the hurt would someday hide, But shadows linger longer than the day. Each silent night, I feel the tethered weight, A quiet storm I can’t negotiate. All these days, I tried to play it strong, But hidden fears grow heavy in the dark. I search for light, yet something feels so wrong, A tethered soul without a steady spark. I’ve kept on hoping that this weight will cease, But find myself still seeking simple peace.
