All it takes

All it takes is one kind word, all it takes is one gentle touch, all it takes is to feel heard, is that really too much? To know that someone's listening, to know that someone's there, to know someone thinks you're actually interesting, and to feel like no one will stare. To be able to be who you truly are without being judged, to speak your mind and what you believe, to live without a grudge, to not be deceived. But I'll go through life hoping one day this will change, and maybe things won't be so estranged.
