All it takes
The world is loud, a constant noise, Trying to break your inner poise. They want to own the way you think, And push your vision to the brink. They’ll laugh at dreams they can't behold, And tell you "do as you are told." But a lion doesn't watch the sheep, Or lose the secrets that he’ll keep. So drown the voices, kill the doubt, That's what the struggle is about. The path is yours and yours alone, Build a kingdom on your own. The noise is loud, a heavy weight, Trying to steer you toward their gate. They want your mind to lose its way, And trade your tomorrow for today. They laugh at things they don’t understand, Building their lives on sinking sand. But you have a fire they can't put out, Stay steady through the screams and shout. It’s dark when you stand all alone, Carving a path that’s all your own. The pressure breaks the ones who bend, But you see the prize at the very end. Walk past the ghosts, don't hear the cries, Cut through the fog and all the lies. The world is a trap that wants you lost, Hold onto your soul, no matter the cost. The crowd is a cold, slow tide, Pulling you down to where they hide. They whisper "stay" and "be like us," keep your eyes on the narrow track, focus that's all it takes focus
