all i was hoping for
you are all i was hoping for... my mind at constant war my heart a soldier up affront armed with a sword from battle so blunt yearning for peace and quiet a resting place for a nous so disquiet eyes wandering around for a pinpoint when i was suddenly showed my forever conjoint i had to learn my lessons at a cost coming up for air followed by coughs every so dared step forward resulting in loss untill he invited me to the cross leaving the weight of a once so heavy load behind i return like a broken poem with its words redefined a yellow light shining softly over my paths a garden of flowers to which he still adds an old rusty door gets opened to enter i make my way in, hand in hand with my defender fight, battle and war, my enemy staring me down toes up to my head where he stops to glare at my crown a cycle going round on repeat In a world full of noise and deceit With my broken shield laid down to the floor You are all... i was hoping for...
