Ain't it a shame The world we live in surrounded every day by evil and sin No room at the table for the good Lord's prayer Violence and lies are spread out everywhere The big citys do all of our votin' While us in the country have voices unspoken You can't say a word without being cancelled While our great nation is being dismantled Morals and standards have left this land No one cares enough to lend a hand Hate and division are in the news today As love is gone to our dismay Ain't it a shame Ain't it a shame the things we take for granted When the sky is blue or crops when planted The loyalty in the eye of man's best friend Or the crimson sky when the days come to end Fishin in a boat, out on the water blessings received from our Heavenly Father Mountain morning so air crisp and true The love of a woman when a long day is through One day all we know will be gone The hate and lies will all be bygones When He comes to earth to take us all home To the streets of gold to witch we all will roam When sin is all gone and love shines bright When night is no more, it's replaced with the light One day no one will feel any pain But we'll have to
