Agoraphobia
In every In every strand of hair I've grown Every tooth that's erupted from my gums I feel as if I've stolen a part of you Leaving you empty and shaken Left with nothing to fill it but my smile The only downside is I was born with the same emptiness Perhaps I hadn't taken enough Maybe there isn't such a thing as that Your agoraphobia makes up The marrow of my bones You need to find an exit Before the visions get through to you So I'll just sit on the curb And wonder when we'll get help It's times like these that make me Remember why I wrote And how I did The words coming to me Like an epiphany to a pope If the world can't be perfect, And neither can I, Why does the wind still blow And the sun still shines?
