AFTER I SAID
Don't be angry, I know what I said, I know you're not part of it, facts misread. Your emotions speak louder, a temporary haze, Wait for them to pass, and listen to my words' gentle phase. Words are like clouds, fleeting, gone in an instant's space, Don't be angry, take a moment to reflect on their gentle face. Listen carefully, and understand the message I convey, The truth will reveal itself, come what may. My words are soft-spoken, yet hard to comprehend, But after I've spoken, you'll understand, and your heart will mend. I'm no prophet, no anointed one, just a humble servant true, Serving my Lord, speaking words that come from my heart anew. You laughed at me, called me names, but reality remains, And when the dust settles, you'll see the other side of the frame. You'll understand me, and the message I tried to convey, And the truth will set you free, come what may.
