Advice never received
Advice, is that something I really need Someone telling me to do something Should I listen and take head I was never told how good advice can be A little here A little there Hold the door And show your care That's the advice that was told to me Not to pay attention to my surroundings No wonder I ended up drowning I'll tell you now pay attention Stay patient, move slower, and protect your inner world For you know not what damage can be done Until it's to late and can't be undone Some choices whisper warning before left broken and curled Stay near to the people you fear Learn their ways to adapt and survive Look out for trouble, but keep your mind clear Let wisdom given from others help you thrive Advice isn't given out for free It is earned from past mistakes, forgiven and set free So this poem might not be the advice you need But it's some of the advice I never received
