I just need you to listen Sit down for a moment There's something I have to say It's really important I've had a lot of good things in life They almost outweighed the bad Even then I still had a reason to smile But now look at me Jobless, talentless, worthless Could've ended up on the street What I want to tell you Is to don't end up like me I know in this life, there's a lot that you're not going to like But the important thing is to press on Because if you don't it'll come back to bite I got swallowed by depression I let my thoughts get the best of me When I had every opportunity to try I gave it up and did so carelessly I was a slave to my mind I listened to the demons inside I made myself bleed And I was past the point fo caring Death seemed so casual Like at this point, it was my only way out I let it deceive me into thinking That there was no more to live for But please, don't let that be you You know better, now you know what I've been through So I implore you, don't give up Or else the darkness will devour you Don't be like me, and do your best to follow your dreams Sometimes we suffer, But the important thing is that you find a way to succeed So I beg of you, please, don't up like me
