Adrift
By the shore, I feel her presence near, Waves whisper her name, soft and clear. Floating in thoughts, lost in her light, A dream so warm, yet just out of sight. Every small thing—a laugh, a tune, Brings her back, like the pull of the moon. I giggle, I falter, unsure of my place, Chasing her smile, a fleeting grace. Am I enough, can I ever be whole? For her, I strive, heart and soul. Yet the tide whispers, quiet and true, “Perhaps she’s waiting, just like you.”
