Across the Sea,
A badge his shield, a heart so true, My father, guide, a calming blue. Though discipline's sting may linger still, His love, a constant, paid the bill. He left too soon, a stolen beat, High school unfinished, life incomplete. But from his strength, a fire did spark, A yearning for knowledge, leaving its mark. Now cloaked in faith, a foreign shore, A brother in Christ, forevermore. Lessons he taught, in every prayer, His love the echo, always there. Though miles may stretch, and oceans roar, His spirit walks beside me, forevermore. Success I find, in studies vast, A testament to love that would forever last. Many may see the kindness I bring, A reflection, on the wings he'd lend. For in him, Mom, a perfect blend, They shaped the man I strive to be, my friend.
