Abyss of the Soul

Have you ever felt empty? Not in a physical or mental way but more of a spiritual and emotional way Like you can't connect with the people around you so you just learn to look at them and pick up what you need But all you do is add more to the void to feed upon You keep asking yourself what made you this or were you born this way but you have felt emotions albeit momentarily So you have some type of light in the or a certain familiarity to a soul Just that there's no longer a bridge to connect you to it so you continue to copy and paste everyone you meet up on yourself not their full being but bits and pieces Hoping beyond all that this will rebuild the connection but as you grow you just become more bitter But you persevere just for the simple fact that you know it's there but just can't feel it Almost maddening but solace at the fact that as long you are living you will get there once again at least you continue hoping
