abuse isn't love

Finally feeling safe feeling loved feeling cared for but how long does love last? hearing the deadly screams of my mother as I rush out to the hallway why were you throwing things at her? why were you screaming? the alcohol has become to much why'd you hit mom? I thought you loved us I thought we were going to be a happy family it took me a while to realize but what you were doing was not love the abuse was not love and now you left me living in fear never become to vulnerable or else you'll get hurt
