Absence
I seem to miss you more during winters, more when these cold breeze strikes my face, more when my hand touches the cold surface, and even more when I see the sun. This is because you are the warmth that my bones beg for during the coldest days of mine. Your warmth is more than what I could ask the sun for. Your absence makes me feel like it's not just me who freezes, but the whole universe that starts to freeze. Your absence is the winter that I fear, for in it, the brutal coldness slowly makes its way to my demise. You are the warmth that I find myself living in, surviving in. You are the beam of sunlight that makes its way to me, through the passage of leaves, to keep me alive and breathing.
