Love has abandoned me, yet my heart still searches for someone who knows how to love..... Years of standing beside the same person and still, life with them feels like punishment My smile feels stolen, each moment too brief, I can’t give happiness, nor fight for my own grief I long to escape, but can't.... no one to ask what I’m holding inside Even my own feel like strangers today, I hide all my tears, wiping them away..... & I hide them so no one dares to call them fake.... All I need is someone’s presence, a gentle voice, respect, a little grace.... someone to whisper, “I’m here"..... to hold me close, to truly be near And if I find that soul.....
