Ethan walked in with his head held high, Confidence guiding each step he took by. But as he entered the boys' bathroom door, He saw faces of disgust, he couldn't ignore. People whispered and stared, judging his every move, Secretly hoping he would just leave and improve. But Ethan was resolute, he knew this was where he belonged, He stood tall but inside he was so very wronged. Amidst the gazes filled with fear and dread, Ethan spotted a face he thought he'd once read. The boy that looked familiar made his way over, Ethan hoped that he'd find a friend in this rover. But as the boy approached, what Ethan feared came to pass, He was ridiculed, laughed at, and teased, just like in the past. Ethan felt his hope slipping, his heart heavy with pain, The happiness he felt, gone, all in vain. Ethan left, tears streaming down his cheek, Feeling so hopeless, left with nothing to seek.
