A Wondrous Sight
A single sunflower in a field of gold, That's how I saw you, brave and bold. Amongst the many, shining bright, You caught my eye, a wondrous sight. You may not know me, not yet, it's true, But in my dreams, I'm close to you. I see us laughing, hand in hand, Walking on clouds, in a promised land. The moon hangs high, a silent guide, As I imagine, side by side. Then morning breaks, the dream departs, Leaving a longing in my heart. But hope remains, a whispered plea, That someday soon, you'll see me. And in that moment, clear and bright, My sun will rise, with all its might.
