A WISH IN THE LONELY NIGHT
In this cold, lonely night so still, My heart aches with a quiet thrill. I yearn for a shoulder, warm and near, To chase away this lingering fear. The stars above seem to mock my pain, Their light can't soothe, their glow in vain. For here I sit, with thoughts so deep, Sadness my companion, as I silently weep. No voice to hear, no hand to hold, The silence bites, the air turns cold. I long for someone to share my mind, A soul so gentle, loving, and kind. Someone who sees the me I hide, Who stays through storms, stands by my side. To love, complete, and understand, To hold my heart in tender hands. But for now, it's just me and the night, A battle fought with fading light. Yet hope remains, a fragile flame, That one day, someone will whisper my name.
