A Wish for Love
When death asked me for my final wish, I replied, "Kill me when she loves me." Not in the cold of unspoken despair, But when her heart beats with love so rare. Let time flow, let the moments pass, Till her love is a flame that will forever last. Not before she knows the depth of my soul, But when her heart finally makes me whole. Wait, dear death, don’t come too soon, Let me see her love, like the light of the moon. Only then, when her love is clear, Will I be ready, without fear. So when she loves me, that’s when I’ll go, Leaving this world, as her love will show. For in her heart, I’ll find my peace, And death will be my sweet release.
