A Warriors War
Once a warrior, strong and bold, Now feels useless, tired and old, The war was won, the battle was done, But now he sees no use for his gun. He fought with all his heart and soul, He reached his goal and played his role, But now he wanders through the land, With no purpose, not even a guiding hand. The scars he bears, both seen and not, Bring back the memories of when he fought, The battle still rages in his mind, And leaves him feeling confined. Although the war is over and done, A new battle is yet to begun, To find a path where he will belong Live a life not as a vagabond So let him rest, let him heal, And find his way, his own ideal For every warrior, strong and brave, Can find a reason to save or be saved.
