A Walk in the Beach
In the midnight quiet I walk in the beach The sky ink black The stars seemingly out of reach The waves crash gently Against the Rocky shore Oh! This sight today It is such a bore! I sir on the rocks With a tired sigh Tired of chasing answers Tired of asking why For hours I sit In the eerie quiet Wanting to know what is wrong Wanting to know what is right My gaze falls upon a yellow sheet Hidden beneath a stone Oh! How sad it must be To be all alone! I take it out and see Scribbles of words in ink Once might have been in scarlett red Now in the lightest shade of pink My eyes read unwavering At the messy cursive lines "My dear! The life is too short For your complains and whines!" "Why are you looking out for a lion When you know it's in a den? Why are you looking outside for answers When you know it's inside us men?" At the crack of dawn I walk in the beach The buttery sun Not so out of reach The waves crash gently Against the softened shore Oh! This sight today Can it ever be a bore?
