A Tribute to DJG
Master carpenter, builder of renown, Your skills unmatched, throughout the town. Eighty-five today, a milestone passed, But memories linger, forever fast. You left too soon, at fifty-four, A life cut short, we'll miss you more. The Little Lady, The Babby's glee, A family bond, you'll always be. Hands like magic, shaping wood and stone, A craftsman's touch, forever known. With every hammer swing, a piece of art, Your legacy lives on, in every part. "Remember, Babby," you'd often say, "Measure twice, cut once, come what may." (Though sometimes, a nap in the shade. Wasn't such a bad trade.) Your legacy lives on, in me and mine, Proud to work, a spirit intertwined. Donald Joshua Gwyther, forever loved, A memory cherished, from above. ©️ Copyright DLC 2024
