A TRAVELLER'S SONG
it's been a sojourn of years traversing through hills and nooks going days with the promise of plenty the memory of aromas past as fuel driving us forward towards the promise foregoing the basics, eyes fixed afar yonder, where we were told plenty is the grumble of our tummies or the crack of lips never a deterrent the noise of naysayers muted our ears deafened by visions seen visions that allows us to sleep not how dare you sleep? when all you have lays before your eyes so near yet so far and now that it is here, no noise can distract the deaf ears no sparkle can avert the blind eye for that which we sought is engraved in letters of gold in our minds and etched like words on stone for no one can accuse us of gluttony yet we slept hungry for decades in readiness for the century of plenty
