a tragedy
When this all began it was but simple make believe with the idea of me and you existing only in hopeful delusion between the still frames of time but never in it's flow I'm not ashamed to admit I was drowning within your limerence losing myself in your volumes Every moment we spent together you seemed to not notice how I was never there with you my mind often roamed to the atrocities I'd have to commit to feel worthy of your love A man owing not gold nor wealth cannot help but to feel like a fraud when confronted with such purity All the days my mind writhed as it pleaded to ask "would you love me still if you knew I was made out of mud?" you lived in a world of white light, your worst days were a shade of grey and that's where we met, because In my world grey is the only relief from the constant darkness but you don't know this You don't know the white you see turns to black when I open my eyes but my body and mind would soon tear each other apart if I made them turn away from you so here I am, with all my imperfection ready to love you until you cannot love me back
