A tomorrow with no me
I’m living a version of life I’d never choose, Perhaps that’s why, each day, I lose. If tomorrow had no me, I’d become a memory, a ghost of what once used to be. Some might want it, others may not, But in quiet moments, they’ll remember A soul that faded like an ember. A world where i no longer jump and play Never knew I'd recede to pray. If tomorrow dawned in the absence of me, There'd still be a sunrise, lovely and free, The only difference left there to be, Is that it’s going to be the first one I can’t see. If tomorrow I’m nowhere to be seen, Just knowI fell from a tree, lush and green. Stepped on and forgotten, lost in gray, If only they knew, I was plucked away. If tomorrow had no me, I’d want my grave to remain empty. No false tears, no hollow regret— Life was worse, just go celebrate.
