A Symphony of Scars and Stars
2024, you came like a storm, A lover unkind, both cruel and warm. You showed me faces, fleeting and dear, Some stayed close; others disappeared. Family stitched me with threads of strain, Their love a balm, their words a chain. Friends like mirrors, some cracked, some whole, Reflected pieces of my soul. I gave my heart to fleeting flames, Crushes, connections, reckless games. A night of passion, a morning of ache, Each taught me more than it could take. Through all the chaos, I stood and healed, Wounds reopened, yet truths revealed. I learned to love, to let things go, To forgive myself for what I don’t show. And now I stand, a canvas anew, Painted with pain, with hope, with hue. To 2025, I make my vow: No more hiding, no more doubt. Bring me peace, bring me grace, Let my heart find its rightful place. Not perfection, just a chance to grow, To love myself in all I know. I seek no wealth, no gilded throne, Just hands to hold, a life my own. A journey onward, fierce and free, To build a world that’s meant for me.
