A summer's day
A summer's day, warm and bright, Fields stretching out, golden under the sun. We wandered, picking wildflowers, Laughter rising, chasing butterflies. The afternoon heat settled, We found refuge in the oak's shade. Grandmother's lemonade, cool in our hands, Old-fashioned glasses, memories of another time. Stories flowed, her voice a thread, Connecting us to a past we never knew. Simple joys, the warmth of family, That day, etched in my heart, A symbol of innocence, of happiness.
