a simple but broken promise.
a simple promise is what it was. 2am on my floor blade in my hand, rope ready. i get a text. i check my phone for one last time. and its you. your name. your face. i decline. you ask why. i say my family is asleep. 3am. in my bed. i forget the blade and the rope hangs. without me. we talk. i joke about leaving. "we're gonna promise we're not gonna leave each other here on this earth alone" your exact words. i told you i promise, and i dont break promises. but clearly you do.
