A silent fear
I am lost in the frost, I know the cost to run away, but it’d be worse if I stayed. All you say--I won’t be swayed, I will leave on this cold day. I will leave this place tonight, I’ll spread my wings and then take flight. The winter wind might be nipping but I have no intent of quitting; I won’t look back, for now I fear the enemy is very near. The end is nigh but I must fly, for I must escape this awful fate. Take to the sky, take to the sea, I was trapped, but now I’m free. I must hide, but will I find a place where I can be sound in mind? They are here--I can’t be found--I must be silent, Not a sound.
