A setting sun
Goodbye old friend, for I won't see you until next sunrise. While you bring light and warmth to others, I will contemplate my life under the crescent moon, and around the chirping of eager crickets. In lands south east of the great plains I will toil the night away, rushing, cursing, dreading, and finding relief once it's over. I will welcome you, a rising sun, in deep slumber, dreaming of when I'll say goodbye again.
