A Saturday in July
It''s a cold morning and I should write about the fugged window or the mesmerizing sound of the rain the emptiness on the streets or maybe the music escaping my neighbor's window But no I'm reminded of how it made us feel, knowing we could cuddle all day and cancel plans the late breakfast and falling asleep watching movies the switching of cuddles still holding hands the multiple confusion on choice of first meal whispers of "breath slowing, your heartbeat is disturbing my sleep" the forehead kiss that follows I miss you though I enjoy the memories left behind
