a runaway
I follow the path amongst the forest laying in lilac fields and ever green grass hidden in this world of my own I wish I could call home I open my eyes and realise it wasn't real I open my eyes to steal glimpses of light from my bland room white and blue could I make it through they say a reader has lived a thousand lives yet I wonder if my readings and poetry are a disguise hidden among the pages a reader must seek between the books one must weep I sit here reading thousands of books yet a vast I am in a heart ache plain where tears are run cold and music is blank where the notes are played but never heard where my voice never says a word for I with to be a runaway
