A Rose in the Mind
A Rose in the Mind by Jack A.S. Dunce Have you thought, even once, about me? At night, when you look at the moon and stars... At any time, when music sets you free... At sleep, when you escape the real world's bars... At sunrise, when you open those bright eyes... At the walk, when the zephyr hugs you tight... At the park, when the rain on your hair dries... At sunset, when you sit by the bay site... At midnight, when tears roll down pallid cheeks... At every clock tick, when your warm heart beats... As I do you, it's true, for streaks of weeks. But I know when to concede defeat. A rose never ever wonders at all, not one bit, about those she enthralls. ©️pgmr 01/28/2024
