A Road Once Traveled
I loved a girl She was smart and pretty Funny and sweet She didn’t let me always have my way But spoiled me like no other I swear I can trace her around my body like a road well-traveled Could show you her favorite pit stops and how she nuzzled my neck in her sleep Could point to spots where her once tender touch melted my soul a little Left grooves in my skin like trampled grass through the woods I could also point to where she hurt me the most It would be one spot My heart Once her favorite spot suddenly wasn’t her favorite resting place She left the road she made Up and walked away I loved a girl I could still tell you where she once loved me Could do it in my sleep I doubt she even remembers me
