A Quiet Struggle
I feel the weight of words unsaid, In silent nights, my heart feels dead. A battle rages, deep inside, Where fleeting thoughts refuse to hide. I tried my best, but still I break, Every breath I take feels fake. The pain, it lingers, sharp, and cold, A story left untold. I sleep for days, I rest for hours, But still the ache devours. I wonder if I'm wrong to stay, Caught in a world where light fades away. Should I disappear, vanish, be free? Or will I fade into the sea? I'm tired, so tired, of fighting this fight, With no one to see, no one to light. And in the end, I face alone, A quiet ache, a heart of stone. The spark that once was lost in time, Fades with silence, out of rhyme. ____
