Poem A Prayer Before the Almighty O Lord, with folded hands we stand before You, Our sins are heavy, our hearts seek the true. Grant us mercy, forgive the wrong we’ve done, Shine upon us with Your eternal sun. We are weak, clay vessels of the earth, Without Your grace, our life has no worth. We bow to You, the Master of creation, Seeking Your love, seeking salvation. Command Varun, the God of rain, to cease, Let the storming floods give way to peace. Hear the cries of children drowned in fear, Dry the mothers’ tears that keep falling here. Fields once golden now ruined in despair, Cattle swept away, no shelter anywhere. O Father divine, heal the broken land, Protect us now with Your mighty hand. From the heart of Erry, this plea takes flight, Every home is drowning, lost in night. Voices rise from streets in pain, Save us, Lord, from flood and rain. No throne is higher than Yours above, No power greater than Your boundless love. Let this prayer reach Your eternal throne, Bless us, Lord, we are Yours alone. The little children with eyes so bright, Struggle for breath in the endles
