A Poem She’ll Never Read
Oh, to my brightest star, I write, Daydreaming of you through the night, I like you more than I should dare, More than I’ve ever said or shared. Even when you push away in small ways, Or pass me by in quiet, fleeting gaze, My heart, stubborn, loyal, and true, Keeps choosing only to choose you. I like you in a way that survives, Distance, silence, and soft goodbyes, Even the ones you never meant, Still linger in my heart’s descent. Maybe you’ll never read this line, These words may live, then fade in time, Yet if the universe whispers it to you, Know I cared—so much, so pure, so true.
