A poem for my mother
My mother, a woman like no other, Oh Allah grant her an easy way to heaven, Let her sit on her own throne, As only she is the witness to all my suffering, And she fought using only prayer, she fought all alone, Her prayers are mighty oh Allah may she live till ninety, My attitude was so daring yet my mother remained so caring, Under the sky with only moonlight, she ran through alleys for me, What brains did I have running from my mother, I mean you don't need to have a degree, Just don't run, it's not fun, especially from a woman so kind, a woman you call your mum. Written by your 1st child Mrs Neeshal Pillay-Fortuin
